ENGLISH EARNS NCAA DIV1 FULL SCHOLARSHIP
After setting numerous NWSS receiving records over the past 3 seasons, Daniel English has signed a letter of intent to attend university and play football for New Mexico State University. HYACKS WRAP UP SUCCESSFUL SEASON WITH AWARDS BANQUET
Another great football season is in the books, and the Varsity, JV and JB teams celebrated their accomplishments at the Royal Westminster Regiment with their annual awards night. Vivie Bojilov and Casey Chin shared the Varsity team’s MVP award. Nigel Eberding earned the Sidoo Family scholarship, Milthon Nevy received the G&F Financial Coaches Award, while other major awards were also presented to all three teams. Special thanks to Deb Wardle and her tireless team of parents for the efforts in making it another special night.

HYACKS ADVANCE TO SEMI-FINALS WITH IMPRESSIVE WIN
The Hyacks knocked off the defending AAA provincial champions, Terry Fox, 23-12, in a quarter final playoff game at McLeod Stadium in Langley. Vivie Bojilov, Shiraz Chaudhary and Warren Reece each scored for the Hyacks. Nigel Eberding added a pair of 2-point converts and also was impressive on defense. It was an especially sweet moment for the seniors who have had their past 2 seasons ended by Terry Fox. The Hyacks are now 10-1 overall, and advance to the AAA provincial semi-finals for the 3rd straight season.

FIVE HYACKS HONORED AT PROVINCIAL ALL STAR AWARDS BANQUET
The Hyacks were well represented on the Gatorade AAA Provincial All-star teams with 4 players selected. Vivie Bojilov was named AAA Provincial Defensive Player of the year, while linebacker Casey Chin, receiver Daniel English and lineman Rama MacMillan earned their 2nd provincial team straight selections. Torsten Jaccard was also honored, earning a $1000 Provincial scholarship. Two weeks earlier, all of the above all stars, along with safety Brent Fletcher, running back Warren Reece and defensive lineman, Alex Saavedra, were named to the All-conference team.
